It's my first time to dive except in Okinawa.
My mother is now visiting Hawaii and we trip to Molokai island together.
Molokai is very calm place and there are a few diving shop here.
Molokai fish and dive  is maybe one of the most popular one.
They only opens when more than 4 people coming but today there only me and my mom. However, how nice of them, they take us to diving. Thanks!

There some troubles and I could dive only one point, but it's really interesting experience.
The place was shallow about 10 meters depth but there are so many corals. There firstly looks really diverse, but when I counting coral species, I could found just 7to 10 species.(*1) Though environment of this place looks really good like Sekisei Lagoon in Okinawa where they have over 300 coral species.
Here Hawaii has fewer number of coral species. From Hawaiian Encyclopedia, there are only 47 hard coral species. Hawaii does not have most major coral species coled Acroporidae in Okinawa and west side of Pacific Ocean. That makes the scenery really different in color, shapes, fishes, invertebrates and all..

by the way, it's really difficult to explain my feeling only by text.
I should buy water proof camera! nmmm,, including the housing it would be over forty thousand yen ,,,!

and I also should learn how ecosystems effected by this difference of diversity in ecological strength or stability. Anyone who knows good reference please tell me!

ah, I will surely dive again here in hawaii!

(*1) I found
massive Porites
branch type Porites
branch type  montipora
coverage type montipora
pocillopora meandrina
pocillopora eydouxi
pocillopora verrucosa
some kind of pavona
(just for note, I'm not sure.)
